Coach Lightbourne ‘Delayed In Joining Team’
National Football Coach Kyle Lightbourne “has been delayed in joining the National Team in Florida” and it “is unlikely that he will be available for the opening match versus Canada” this evening, the BFA have advised.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Football Association [BFA] advises that National Team Head Coach, Kyle Lightbourne has been delayed in joining the National Team in Florida.
“The National Team travelled to Florida for their FIFA World Cup Qualifying matches without Coach Lightbourne on Monday, March 22nd. It is unlikely that he will be available for the opening match versus Canada on March 25th, but we are hoping that he will be available for the match against Aruba on March 30th.”
The BFA previously named Bermuda’s team as: Goalkeepers: Dale Eve, Jahquil Hill, Quinaceo Hunt | Defenders: Eusebio Blankendal, Richard Jones, Azende Furbert, Calon Minors, Jomei Bean-Lindo, London Steede-Jackson, Dante Leverock, Trey Tucker, Jaylon Bather | Midfielders: Roger Lee, Kane Critchlow, Jahkari Furbert, Knory Scott | Forwards: Jordan Outerbridge, Tokia Russell, Cecoy Robinson, Zeiko Lewis, Chae Brangman, Lejaun Simmons, Keishon Bean.
For someone who is paid to be national coach I hope there is a reason why our unpaid players can make time but he can’t?
From someone who knows nothing about the situation!
