Armed Robbery At Cake Shop In Pembroke
There was an armed robbery at the Cake Shop Bakery in Pembroke this afternoon [April 1] with “two men brandishing firearms” entering the premises and stealing an “undisclosed quantity of cash.
A police spokesperson said, “Around 4:38 p.m. today, Thursday 1st April, 2021, police responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Cake Shop Bakery, on Curving Avenue, Pembroke.
“Upon arrival officers were informed that two men brandishing firearms, entered the premises, went to the cash register and took an undisclosed quantity of cash.
“One suspect is described as 6’ 2” tall, slim built, light complexioned and wearing a black hoodie with his face covered.
“The second suspect is said to be 5’ 3” tall, stockily built, also wearing a black hoodie with his face covered.
“It is believed the suspect fled the scene on a motorcycle. There were no reported injuries.
“An investigation into this matter has commenced and anyone with information is asked to call the Criminal Investigations Unit on, 247-1744, the main police number, 295-0011 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers number, 800-8477.”
very sad very disappointing this is my child hood bakery. when i was living around there this could have never happen because people normally hang out in the area and if they tried they could never get away even on a bike. i hope they did not lose the hot cross bun money than is always made at the place just like the Muslim Bakery.
SO sick of reading these stories about behaviour that is SO despicable and below what we are capable of. Who are these people who are behaving like this? Time to grow up as a society… and don’t lecture me about people going through hard times. We ALL go through hard times but we don’t resort to this despicable behaviour.

How are the 6 cream puffs you stole, or was it the double cheese with spinach croissant that you lifted ? I hope you divided them equally or was one of you a ‘greedy guts’. Did you need a calculator to divide them between you and your shorty Einstein friend?
Did you consider that there would be ONLY a few people that chill together in BDA that are 6 2′ and 5 3″. That combination of heights would be quite rare, I would think! These guys are not too bright!
