Cooper Finishes Third In MAISA Championships
Chase Cooper and his St. Mary’s College of Maryland teammates recently competed in the MAISA South Coed Conference Championships.
St. Mary’s College of Maryland finished third overall with 120 points in an eight race series that was completed in very shifty conditions.
Cooper and his crew Sophia Taczak finished fourth with 49 points in the school’s A Boat. He finished the first race of the series in second place before recording back-to-back fourth place finishes in the next two races and finishing third in his fourth race.
The fifth race of the series saw Cooper cross the line in 10th place, before recovering to finish fourth in the sixth race and closing out with a 10th and 12th place finish in the final two races.
