Donawa Scores Hat-Trick For Solihull Moors
Bermuda’s Justin Donawa made an excellent showing for his Solihull Moors team, scoring a hat-trick to help them claim a 5 – 1 victory over Yeovil Town.
The club’s match report said, “Justin Donawa’s perfect hat-trick helped fire Moors to a rousing 5-1 win over Yeovil Town at the SportNation.bet Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
“The Bermudian scored his first with a bullet header before smashing in his second with his left before rounding off a fine display, by rifling home with his right.
“Donawa’s first two goals of the afternoon came either side of a Rhys Murphy strike, which had put the visitors briefly back on level terms early in the second half.
“Kyle Hudlin turned in the hosts’ third and then with less than 10 minutes remaining, James Ball got in the act with a composed finish.
“However, Donawa had the final say, racing away, he smashed a fierce strike past Yeovil keeper Adam Smith to claim the match ball.
“After a steady start, Ball’s rasping drive almost set the game alight, but the post came to the Glovers’ rescue. With the keeper beaten, the ball rattled the woodwork.
“Moors were growing into the game. Jordan Piggott had the ball in the net but it was quickly ruled out after Hudlin was deemed to have unfairly challenged Smith in the build-up.
“However, there was nothing anyone could do about Donawa’s bullet header just after the midway point of the half.
“Ball almost immediately doubled Moors’ lead, his curling shot arrowed towards the bottom corner but Smith did well to tip it wide for a corner.
