“Safe Environment For Associates & Customers”
“Our most urgent priority throughout this pandemic has been to provide a safe environment for our associates and customers,” the MarketPlace said.
The MarketPlace posted a graphic on social media, saying: “The MarketPlace works closely with the government and public health officials and follows their guidelines. We do everything possible to minimize risks to staff and customers, and we strongly encourage our staff to be vaccinated.
“The MarketPlace grocery workers are risking their safety, so the rest of us can shelter in place. The only way the rest of us are able to stay home is because MarketPlace associates are willing to go to work.
“If there are any suspected cases in any of The MarketPlace stores, associates are immediately sent to be tested and required to self-isolate at home, and to monitor any symptoms and quarantine until they receive their test results.
“Every store, every night is deep cleaned and disinfected by an outside cleaning company. Our most urgent priority throughout this pandemic has been to provide a safe environment for our associates and customers.
“We feel that we have an obligation to the people of Bermuda to also provide open stores, on-line shopping solutions and an efficient supply chain so that all of our people have access to fresh, affordable food and essentials. The MarketPlace stores are the safest place to shop.”
