Bermuda Swimmers Compete In Florida

Three Bermuda swimmers recently took to the pool for the final round of competition at the Unión Americana de Natación Qualifier in Clermont, Florida.

Madelyn Moore, Jack Harvey, and Jesse Washington were all back in action on day four of the event.

Moore once again picked up a gold medal and broke a Bermuda record as she won the women’s 100 long course meter freestyle, touching the wall in a personal best time of 56.57 and breaking Kiera Aitken’s record time of 56.99 that was set back on July 31, 2009 during the World Championships in Rome, Italy.

Washington finished third in the C final and 22nd overall competing in the men’s 100 long course meter freestyle, clocking a time of 52.27.

During the men’s 200 long course meter backstroke A final, Jack Harvey finished 10th by touching the wall in a time of 2:08.05.
