Public Health [Covid-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-Opening] Regulations 2021 Large Group Exemption:
St John AME Church Service
Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed St John AME Church Service is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in section 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [Covid-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-Opening] Regulations 2021 on groups of more than twenty-five persons assembling;
Now, therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under section 5 [5] of those Regulations to Reverend Dr Joyce Hayward permitting a group of more than 25 persons to assemble Sunday, May 30, 2021, between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm at the Duck’s Puddle Park Annexe, Hamilton Parish with the following conditions:
- Persons attending the St. John AME Church Service must maintain appropriate physical distancing which is described as; maintaining a distance between all persons who are not of the same household of at least–
- six feet; or
- three feet provided each person is wearing a mask which completely covers their nose and mouth, and follow any relevant guidance.
- Maximum number of attendees: 50 persons
- Minimum of 3 marshals to be on duty at the event to ensure that persons in attendance comply with these conditions.
- Recording of names and contact information of persons attending for contact tracing. Information is to be retained for 28 days post-date of the event.
- Adherence to all applicable Covid-19 Ministry of Health Guidelines.
- The Minister of National Security may at any time, modify or revoke a group exemption granted as per section 5 [8] [B] of the Public Health [Covid-19 Emergency Powers][Phased Re-Opening] Regulations 2021.
- The Bermuda Police Service and/or the Ministry of National Security have the right to attend and observe for compliance with the conditions above.

Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association LC Summer Swim Meet
Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association – LC Summer Swim Meet is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in section 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [Covid-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-Opening] Regulations 2021 on groups of more than ten persons assembling;
Now, therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under section 5 [5] of those Regulations to Ben Smith permitting a group of more than 10 persons to assemble Saturday, May 29, 2021, between 7:00 am and 11:00 am at the National Sports Centre, 65 Roberts Avenue, Devonshire Parish with the following conditions:
- Persons attending the Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association – LC Summer Swim Meet must maintain appropriate physical distancing which is described as; maintaining a distance between all persons who are not members of the same household of at least –
- six feet; or
- three feet provided each person is wearing a mask which completely covers their nose and mouth, and follow any relevant guidance.
- The maximum number of attendance: 75 persons [includes participants, coaches and officials]
- Adherence to all applicable Covid 19 Health Guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health.
- Recording of names and contact details of persons attending the event for contact tracing. Information to be retained for 28 days post-date of the event.
- Adherence to all applicable Covid-19 Health Guidelines as issued by the Ministry of Health.
- The Minister of National Security may at any time modify or revoke a group exemption granted per section 5 [8] [B] of the Public Health [Covid 19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-Opening] Regulations 2021.

Bermuda Government Bermuda Re-Imaged Event
Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Bermuda Re-Imaged Event is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in section 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [Covid-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-Opening] Regulations 2021 on groups of more than ten persons assembling;
Now, therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under section 5 [5] of those Regulations to the Minister of Youth, Culture and Sport permitting a group of more than 10 persons to assemble Friday, May 28, 2021, between 12:00 pm and 6:30 pm at the National Sports Centre, 65 Roberts Avenue, Devonshire Parish with the following conditions:
- Persons attending or working at the Bermuda Re-Imaged Event must be able to demonstrate that they are fully immunised or have tested negative for the coronavirus at least 3 days before Friday May 28, 2021. Use of the SafeKey QR code that is issued by the Ministry of Health will denote that persons have been fully immunised or have tested negative for the coronavirus in the past 72 hours.
- The maximum number of attendance: 1,295 [1000 spectators / 295 perfomers and event staff]
- There shall be a minimum of 14 security / marshals on duty at the event.
- Adherence to all applicable Covid 19 Health Guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health.
- The Minister of National Security may at any time modify or revoke a group exemption granted per section 5 [8] [B] of the Public Health [Covid 19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-Opening] Regulations 2021.
- The Bermuda Police Service / Ministry of National Security Official have the right to attend and observe compliance with the conditions as prescribed above.

Public Health [Covid-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-Opening] Regulations 2021 Large Group Exemption:
Bermuda Bicycle Association Sinclair Packwood Memorial Race
Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Sinclair Packwood Memorial Race is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in section 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [Covid-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-Opening] Regulations 2021 on groups of more than ten persons assembling;
Now, therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under section 5 [5] of those Regulations to Peter Dunne permitting a group of more than 10 persons to assemble Friday, May 28, 2021, between 7:00 am and 8:45 am at King Square, St. George’s Parish with the following conditions:
- Participants of the Sinclair Packwood Memorial Race must be able to demonstrate that they are fully immunised or have tested negative for the coronavirus at least 3 days before May 28, 2021. Use of the SafeKey QR code that is issued by the Ministry of Health will denote that persons have been fully immunised or have tested negative for the coronavirus in the past 72 hours.
- The maximum number of participants is 75.
- All participants must wear masks until the start of the race unless they are actively warming up. All support staff must wear masks.
- Participants should avoid contact with other participants which includes, high fives, fist bumps, before or after the race. This will include maintaining physical distancing of six feet before and after the race. [This will not apply if from the same household]
- There will be no post-race prize presentation. Participants are encouraged to collect their belongings and leave immediately after the race.
- Race organisers are to ensure that they have sufficient race course marshals as determined by the Bermuda Police Service.
- Adherence to all applicable Covid 19 Health Guidelines as published by the Ministry of Health.
- The Minister of National Security may at any time modify or revoke a group exemption granted per section 5 [8] [B] of the Public Health [Covid 19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-Opening] Regulations 2021.
- The Bermuda Police Service / Ministry of National Security Official have the right to attend and observe compliance with the conditions as prescribed above.
