Smith Wins Ironman 70.3 Age Group Division
Karen Smith competed in the Ironman 70.3 Gulf Coast event in Panama City Beach, Florida, making an impressive showing to win her age group division.
Smith clocked a time of 4:59.52 to win the female 50-54 Age Group Division, she was the 13th female to cross the line and the 1,353rd person overall to cross the line.
Smith completed the 1.2 mile swim course in a time of 36.20, covered the 56 mile bike course in a time of 2:36.26, and then clocked a time of 1:40.54 during the 13.1 mile run course.
