Augustus Begins Competing In New Orleans
Daniel Augustus was back on the Advocates Professional Golf Association [APGA] Tour competing in the APGA New Orleans at the New Orleans, TPC Louisiana Golf Course.
Augustus shot an opening-round 1-over par 73, to come off the course T23rd.
Augustus’ first round consisted of 3 birdies, 13 pars, 1 bogey, and 1 triple bogey.
Augustus made a promising start with five consecutive pars, but a triple bogey on the par 4 sixth, saw him drop to 3-over par, Augustus would then have back-to-back Pars, before closing out the front nine with a bogey.
Augustus then looked to attack the back nine to get back into the round and did just that, after a par on the 10th, Augustus began his fightback with a Birdie on the par 5 eleventh, following a par on the 12th, Augustus had the second birdie of the round on the par 4 thirteenth.
Pars on the 14th and 15th was followed by a birdie on the sixteenth to move to 1-over with two holes to play. Augustus then finished off with back-to-back pars.
