Allied World To Sponsor BEN Teacher Awards
The Bermuda Education Network [BEN] announced that Allied World has agreed to sponsor the 2021 Outstanding Teacher Awards, which will be presented in October.
BEN’s founder, Becky Ausenda commented: “We weren’t able to hold our annual Gala Dinner this year which is usually when we present the Annual Teacher Awards, but we still want to honour the exceptional educators in Bermuda’s public schools, and are very grateful to Allied World for their support.”
Colm Singleton, Head of Allied World Bermuda said: “We are proud to support these awards which recognize the importance of public school educators to our community. The past year has presented a unique set of challenges and we have heard some amazing examples of ingenuity and resilience which deserve to be highlighted. We look forward to celebrating the ten finalists when they are announced.”
A spokesperson added, BEN is inviting anyone working in education in Bermuda to go to www.ben.bm to submit a nomination of a colleague who has worked in public schools. BEN’s mission is to be ally for improving public education through opportunities that empower educators.”
