Photos: Viking Orion Cruise Officials Welcomed
Premier David Burt, Minister of Transport Lawrence Scott, Mayor of Hamilton Charles Gosling and other local officials welcomed the Viking Orion cruise ship to Bermuda, taking part in a plaque exchange.
A spokesperson said, “There were three plaque exchanges:
- “1. Premier, the Hon. David Burt JP, MP, Minister of Tourism presented Captain Hvidsten a handmade cedar plaque on behalf of the Bermuda Tourism Authority – Captain gave a Viking Orion plaque in return
- “2. The Rt. Worshipful Charles Gosling, Mayor of Hamilton presented a City of Hamilton plaque to Captain Hvidsten– Captain gave a Viking Orion plaque in return
- “3. Minister of Transport, the Hon. Lawrence Scott JP, MP presented Captain Hvidsten with a plaque – Captain Hvidsten gave a Viking Orion plaque in return

It’s wonderful to see a cruise ship finally docked in Bermuda. I am looking forward to the cruising season fully reopening, and ships returning to the Dock Yard.
