Smith Wins Wilfred Fray Memorial Tournament

Chris Smith was crowned the Bermuda Professional Golfers Association’s Wilfred Fray Memorial Tournament champion at the Ocean View Golf Course.

Smith, who led going into the second day, finished 2 strokes ahead of Dwayne Pearman who double-bogeyed on the 18th.

Smith finished with a two-round score of 139, Pearman was second at 141, while Darriek Douglas was third at 150.

Scott Roy claimed the fourth place spot at 153, while Brian Morris and Twilton Smith round out the top 5 with 154.

Unfortunately, none of the amateurs qualified to join the Association as a Class C Player.

Ebonie Burgess-Cox missed by 4 strokes, while Leroy Robinson missed out by 10 strokes, with Mackih McGowan missing out on qualifying by 12 strokes, Damon Smith missed by 16 strokes, and Marcello Thomas missed the qualifying score by 26 strokes.
