St. David’s Cricket Club, Bailey’s Bay, Southampton Rangers, Cleveland County, Western Stars, and Flatt’s Victoria all recorded victories in this weekend’s Premier & First Division cricket action.

Premier Division

St. David’s Cricket Club won by 4 runs: St. David’s Cricket Club 165/9 Willow Cuts 161/6

At Lords in St. Davids, the home team picked up a 4 run victory over Willow Cuts, St. David’s Cricket Club batted first and scored 165/9, Brian Hall was the top scorer with 31, Antonio Darrell was the pick of the Willow Cuts bowlers returning figures of 4-0-30-3.

In reply Willow Cuts scored 161/6, Micah Simons was the top scorer with 3, while Hall was the pick of the St. David’s Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 4-0-29-2.

Bailey’s Bay won by 3 runs: Bailey’s Bay 144/4 St. George’s Cricket Club 141/8

At the Devonshire Recreation Club, Bailey’s Bay won a nail-bitter picking up a 3 run victory over the St. George’s Cricket Club, Bailey’s Bay batted first and scored 144/4, Terryn Fray was the top scorer with 36, while Allan Doulas was the pick of the St. George’s Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 4-1-24-2.

In reply the St. George’s Cricket Club scored 145/5, Macai Simmons was the top scorer with 35. Rodney Trott was the pick of the Bailey’s Bay bowlers with figures of 4-1-15-4.

Southampton Rangers won by 81 runs: Southampton Rangers 214/6 Somerset Cricket Club 133

At the Somerset Cricket Club, the Southampton Rangers defeated the host by 81 runs, batting first the Southampton Rangers scored 214/6, Janeiro Tucker led from the front scoring 80 off 37 balls, hitting 6 fours and 7 sixes, Terence Corday was the pick of the Somerset Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 4-0-39-2.

Flatt’s Victoria won by 8 wickets: Warwick Workmen’s Club 151/5 Flatt’s Victoria 152/2

At the Somerset Cricket Club, Flatt’s Victoria defeated the Warwick Workmen’s Club by 8 wickets. Batting first Warwick Workmen’s Club scored 151/5 in their allotted 20 overs, Dominic Sabir was the top scorer with 90 off 59 balls, he hit 7 fours and 6 sixes, Nekoda Bascome was the pick of the Flatt’s Victoria bowler’s wit figures of 4-0-18-2.

Flatt’s Victoria, in reply, would score 152/2, an opening partnership of 109 between Reginald Baker and Regino Smith set them on their way, with Smith scoring 67 off 34 balls hitting 5 fours and 6 sixes, while Baker added 47.
