Southampton Rangers, St. Georges Cricket Club, St. David’s Cricket Club, Western Stars, Cleveland County, and Warwick Workmen’s Club all recorded victories in this weekend’s Premier & First Division cricket action.

Premier Division

Southampton Rangers won by 8 wickets: Baileys Bay 127/5 Southampton Rangers 131/2

At the Southampton Oval, the Southampton Rangers defeated Baileys Bay by 8 wickets. Baileys Bay batted first and scored 127/5, Zeko Burgess was the top scorer with 54, his runs came off 29 balls he hit 4 fours and 5 sixes.

In reply the Southampton Rangers scored 131/2, Dion Stovell was the top scorer with 65, is knock came off 52 balls, hitting 5 fours and 2 sixes. Kyle Hodsoll returned figures of 3.4-0-20-1.

St. Georges Cricket Club won by 9 wickets: Willow Cuts 122/7 St. George’s Cricket Club 125/1

At the Wellington Oval, the St. George’s Cricket Club defeated Willow Cuts by 9 wickets, Willow Cuts batted first and scored 122/7, Dean Stevens was the top scorer with 4, while Nzari Paynter returned figures of 4-0-24-3.

In reply Allan Douglas scored 69 runs off 34 balls hitting 7 fours and 5 sixes helping St. George’s Cricket Club reach 125/1, Micah Simons returned figures of 3-0-34-1 for Willow Cuts.

St. David’s Cricket Club won by 7 wickets: Somerset Cricket Club 116 St. David’s Cricket Club 120/3

At the Devonshire Recreation Club, the St. David’s Cricket Club picked up a 7 wicket victory over the Somerset Cricket Club, the Somerset Cricket Club batted first and were bowled out for 116, Kamau Leverock was the top scorer with 41, while Shaddai Somersall was the pick of the St. David’s Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 2-0-20-3.

In reply, the St. David’s Cricket Club scored 120/3Ricardo Brangman was the top scorer with 30, while Greg Maybury was the pick of the Somerset Cricket Club bowlers returning figures of 3-0-14-1.

First Division Results

Western Stars won by 5 wickets: Devonshire Recreation Club 67 Western Stars 73/5

At the Devonshire Recreation Club, the home team went down by 5 wickets, batting first the Devonshire Recreation Club were bowled out for 67, Aljame Zuill was the top scorer with 12, while Phillip Thomas was the pick of the Western Stars bowlers wit figures of 3.2-0-15-2.

Cleveland County won by 65 runs: Cleveland County 172/2 Flatt’s Victoria 107/6

At the Wellington Oval, Cleveland County won the toss and elected to back against Flatt’s Victoria and defeated them by 65 runs.

Cleveland County scored 172/2, Bryce Daniels was the top scorer with 74, his runs came off 50 balls hitting 8 fours and 4 sixes, Nelson Bascome was the pick of the Flatt’s Victoria bowlers with figures of 3-0-16-1.

In reply Flatt’s Victoria could only manage 107/6, Reginald Baker was the top scorer with 41, while Denns Musson Jr. returned figures of 2-0-10-3 to lead Cleveland County bowling.

Warwick Workmen’s Club won by 52 runs: Warwick Workmen’s Club 165/1 Somerset Bridge 113/4

At the Southampton Oval, Dominic Sabir scored 86 not out, and Stephan Dill scored 63 as Warwick Workmen’s Club scored 165/1 in their allotted overs defeating the Somerset Bridge by 52 runs. Sabir’s knock came off 54 balls hitting 8 fours and 5 sixes, while Dill hit 1 four and 7 sixes in the 38 balls he faced. Kareem Hollis returned figures of 3-0-45-1 for the Somerset Bridge.

In reply Somerset Bridge scored 113/4, Jason Smith was the top scorer with 56, which came off 44 balls hitting 8 fours and 2 sixes. Jodi Maronie was the pick of the Warwick Workmen’s Club bowlers with figures of 3-0-29-1.
