“Topics surrounding early signs of mental illness, resources, mental health in the workplace, loving your family through mental illness, girls and mental wellness, mental health insurance coverage, introduction to talk therapy, Covid and its impact on mental health among teens will be discussed by local professionals and community members.

“In addition to the jam-packed scheduled day, attendees will have opportunities to participate in the first ever virtual expo hall featuring an array of fantastic vendors offering resources, great deals and information to participants.

“The past two years have been extremely difficult for the entire world. We at the Foundation firmly believe that we all have to work together to ensure that our mental wellbeing remains intact and healthy while we also help those who suffer from mental illness,” said BMHF representative Jodi Lewis.

“The 2021 virtual conference will have something for every age and demographics and will feature dynamic local speakers, industry professionals and the general public including our teens and young adults.

“One of the exciting opportunities we would like to offer attendees is the opportunity to learn about talk therapy by engaging through the networking portals with license professionals. This is your time to talk, ask them anything and learn more about this valuable tool used to cope with life stressors”.

A spokesperson added, “Please contact the Foundation to learn how to get involved with its 2021 virtual conference by emailing jodi@jdlewisgroup.com or info@bmhf.bm. Registration will be free for the general and available in the coming weeks.

“The Foundation is seeking support from the community through sponsorship and opportunities to volunteer as well as vendors for the expo hall. If interested, please contact the Foundation using the email addresses above. ”
