Suspect Arrested In Connection With Burglary
A suspect was arrested following a burglary at a residence in Warwick yesterday afternoon.
A police spokesperson said, “Shortly before 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, 22 July, 2021, Police attended a report of burglary in progress at a residence on Tribe Road #2, Warwick.
“Upon arrival, officers were provided a description of the suspect who had left the scene. Whilst still in the area, they observed a male who fit the description of the suspect run towards Dunscombe Road.
“Officers identified themselves and called out to the suspect to stop.
“However, a foot chase ensued and the suspect was subsequently apprehended and arrested on suspicion of burglary.
The police said an investigation is ongoing and anyone with information “is asked to call 211, the main police number, 295-0011 or, the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers number, 800-8477.”
