Bermuda Pride To Host Beach Day On Aug 28
The organisers of Bermuda Pride announced that they will be hosting a Beach Day on Saturday, August 28th at Cooper’s Island from 2pm – 8pm.
A spokesperson said, “The organisers of Bermuda Pride are pleased to announce that they have received permission to host a Beach Day on the 28th of August 2021 at Cooper’s Island from 2pm – 8pm. Individuals wishing to attend are required to RSVP at bermudapride.net before 26 August 2021.
“Speaking about the event, which follows the successful panel discussion broadcast earlier this summer, the organisers said: “The founding principles of Pride is community and togetherness.
“Whilst the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has meant that we have had to plan much smaller celebrations this year, embracing our founding principles during these difficult times is more important than ever. We hope the beach day event will be a safe and happy celebration for our LBTQI+ community and allies.”
“In line with the Covid-19 large group exemption received for the event, attendees will require a valid Covid-19 SafeKey. Masks will be required where attendees are unable to maintain a physical distance of 6 feet.
“Attendees are encouraged to bring their own food and drink for the event, though hotdogs and hamburgers [including vegan options] will be made available between 5pm and 7pm for registered attendees.
“For contact tracing purposes, the organizers encourage use of the We Health app [available for free from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store].”
