Bowling Team To Compete In Guatemala

Bermuda’s National Men’s Bowling Team will be heading to Guatemala to compete in the Central American and Caribbean Bowling Confederation Championships, which is the qualification event for the next CAC Games in El Salvador.

The tournament runs from August 22nd -28th, 2021.

The team of David Maycock, Lamar Richardson, Rickai Binns, Damien Matthews, Carl Reid, Dennis Joell, and Steven Riley will compete in Men’s Singles, Doubles, Trios, team events, and the Master’s Events. Each event will consist of 6 qualifying games to determine who wins Gold, Silver, and Bronze.

The top five total all events scores combined from each country will determine which nine countries qualify for the next CAC games with El Salvador already qualified as the host nation.

Bermuda qualified 7th last time out and which enabled them to win a Silver Medal in the Men’s Trios’ events at the last CAC Games in Cali Colombia in 2018.

The team spent the last week preparing in a training camp with new national team coach Fero Williams.
