The BWS posted the images below on social media and said, “While BWS wishes all residents and visitors are enjoying the sunny weather this weekend, it can still prove hazardous to some.
“As high pressure maintains fair weather over the region as Tropical Storm Henri passes to our very distant west, a southwesterly wind will drive warm and humid air over the island through the weekend.
“With an expected maximum temperature near 88F/31C and relative humidity ranging between 80-90%, it will feel like 90-104F/32-40C. Members of the public are urged to keep hydrated during these hot and humid summer conditions. It should be noted that the elderly and children are most vulnerable from heat stress or exhaustion from these conditions.
“In addition, the UV index remains near 9-10 which is in the the very high category [see image #2]. All beach goers, boaters and mariners are advised to exercise extra caution over the weekend while exposed to rays from the Sun. Be safe and have an enjoyable weekend Bermuda.“
