Wallpaper Wednesday: Sprinter Jessica Lewis
We are ‘sprinting ahead’ in this week’s Bernews’ Wallpaper Wednesday to our next world class athlete set to hit the big stage, with Jessica Lewis scheduled to represent Bermuda at the Paralympic Games which start later this month in Tokyo.
Ms Lewis is currently ranked [PDF] third in the world in the 100m — with a time of 17.00 recorded in June 2021 — and the Bermudian sprinter is considered to be a medal contender, making this the first time that Bermuda enters both the Olympics and Paralympics fielding medal contenders, an impressive feat for a small island.

I remember this wonderful young lady when she was about 5yrs old wheeling around in the aisles of Hamilton Market Place. She was real sharp then in her wheelchair. All The Best Ms. Jessica. I know you will eventually be #1 in the World. All The Best!!!!!
