ABIR Welcomes Lockton Re As A New Member
The Association of Bermuda Insurers and Reinsurers [ABIR] has welcomed Lockton Re, the reinsurance arm of the world’s largest independent insurance broker, as a new member.
A spokesperson said, “Lockton Re has joined ABIR’s Broker Advisory Cabinet, a body that allows for collaborative efforts among Bermuda’s leading re/insurers and brokers to sustain the island’s successful international re/insurance market.
“A privately held independent insurance broker with an entrepreneurial culture, Lockton Re launched a new office in Bermuda in June this year, led by Jonathan [Jonty] Davies, its CEO.
“With the addition of Lockton Re, ABIR’s membership climbs to the highest number in the organization’s 28-year history.”
Marc Grandisson, Chairman of ABIR and CEO of Arch Capital Group Ltd., said: “The Bermuda re/insurance market welcomes expansion of the broker community and its contribution to our continuing growth. I am pleased to welcome Lockton Re to ABIR.”
