“Six Case Files For The Police & Prosecutions”
“Since June, we have prepared six case files for the Police and Prosecutions,” Minister of Health Kim Wilson said in reference to cases that involve non-compliance with public health directions.
Speaking at last night’s [Sept 15] Covid-19 technical briefing, Minister Wilson said, “The Ministry of Health’s team of compliance officers is working closely with the Bermuda Police Service and Department of Public Prosecutions to progress cases that involve non-compliance with public health directions.
“Since June, we have prepared six case files for the Police and Prosecutions. There are four more in progress now. Also, the Police are fully prepared and ready to issue fixed penalty tickets for breaches such as leaving a place of isolation or quarantine.”

Oh please! People LITERALLY get away with murder here so I’m not very confident that these 6 will get anything more than a stern finger wagging.
Fixed penalty tickets for quarantine breaches? What $500 to shut down Bermuda when a curfew breaker pays $3,000? If it is fixed penalty you don’t need a file, but you do need a meaningful penalty like $500,000 and ten years in jail. Does Bermuda have any lawmakers with any sense? Apparently not.
Is Burt one of these cases, for the crowded maskless champagne party?
And what of the party at Horticultural Hall?
Police have had a year to prosecute.
Justice for all? Not likely.
