Bermuda Mixed Foursomes Championships

The Bermuda Mixed Foursomes Championship recently concluded at Turtle Hill Golf Course, with Brent Giannone and Liz Carpio winning with a total score of 109.

A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Mixed Foursomes Championship concluded at Turtle Hill Golf Course. The two-day tournament consisted of 18 holes of Four-Ball [partner best ball] and 18 holes of modified Pinehurst [alternating shot].

“The 2021 champions were Brent Giannone and Liz Carpio with a total score of 109, narrowly defeating the overnight leaders, Oliver Betschart and Kathy Lloyd-Hines by two shots. The conditions were challenging on Saturday as the players encountered strong wind SE winds and the constant threat of rain. However, conditions were ideal today and allowed for good competitive scoring.

“Damian Palanyandi who is the reigning champion in this event and is one of the qualifying players in the Bermuda Championship next week, performed well but came up short after his partner Katyna Rabain had to withdraw and was replaced at the last minute. The net winners were Craig Christensen and Gillian Campbell. Click here for the full results.”
