Nia Christopher Wins Another CAA Award
Nia Christopher – who attends Towson University – has been named the CAA Offensive Player Of The Week, marking the third time in recent weeks the Bermudian footballer has won an award.
In announcing the award, the Colonial Athletic Association [CAA] said, “Christopher broke a scoreless tie by netting two goals in three minutes to lead Towson to a 3-0 win over William & Mary on Sunday. The sophomore forward scored in the 78th minute and doubled the Tiger lead in the 81st. Christopher’s 11 goals are four shy of the Towson single-season record with at least seven games left on the schedule.”
Ms Christopher also won the CAA Offensive Player of the Week award last month, and she was also named the College Soccer News [CSN] Women’s National Player of the Week.
