Photos: Cruise Ship ‘The World’ Visits Bermuda
The cruise ship The World – “the largest private residential ship on the planet” – arrived in Bermuda yesterday morning [Oct 12].
The vessel’s website says, “The largest private residential ship on the planet, The World is home to only 165 residences.
“An international community of residents and guests spend extensive time exploring the most exotic and well-traveled destinations, and return onboard to a lifestyle that exists nowhere else on earth.”
Empty ship occupies dock space.
Why do you say it is empty ?
… and your point is…?
My thoughts.
Is the dock space needed for any other purpose at this time?
Perhaps the residents of the ship might drop a dollar or two along Front Street.
Will the Government collect a any fees from this ship?
Will the ship require an provisions to be restocked during her stay.
So many questions.
Dear Brian
Good to hear from you.
Things have changed a bit since we even contemplated cruises. The last one was around the world for about six months and it was a winner and we’ve given it up since Winchcombe days. If Jo would prop me up I might yield leaning on her and harking back to earlier days but it would do me no good.- nor her!
I’ve been retired for well over 30 years and the blighters have stolen our cars – it’s God’s waiting room sitting here and the greatest excitement is asking someone to pass my glasses so that I can watch something happening at sea.
We’re all getting a little more ‘mature’ but never envisaged it would be as it is. Did you know that Terry has moved on to an electric wheel chair – each to their own.
Springhill is out of commission and that is almost the end of the world.
Hope you are settling in . Still enjoy you tit bits – reminds me what was
Must go it’s ‘watch with mother’.
As ever
Bruce
