Split Tee Times For Championship Final Day

October 30, 2021

The Butterfield Bermuda Championship tee times for the Championship Round Fueled by Rubis will start at 7:45 a.m. with golfers teeing off from both Hole #1 and #10, it was announced today.

Play is estimated to end at 2:45 p.m. with the closing ceremony taking place on the 18th green. All hospitality areas will be open for ticketholders and, weather-permitting, the venues will remain open to patrons after play until 4:00 p.m.

The decision, made in consultation with the PGA TOUR meteorologist on site, was made due to the threat of severe weather that could impact tournament play later in the afternoon.

“The 2021 Butterfield Bermuda Championship Round Fueled by Rubis will begin at 7:45 a.m., with tee times continuing through 9:57 a.m.,” said Executive Director Sean Sovacool. “Based on the most current weather data, this will be the best opportunity to complete the full round tomorrow and crown our champion. We hope that fans will come out and enjoy the event and the extended hospitality.”

A spokesperson said, “The public is reminded that the Butterfield Bermuda Championship is operating as a SafeKey event. A valid COVID-SafeKey presented on arrival at entrance points must be accompanied by a government-issued ID, such as an identity card, passport, or driver’s license.

“To reduce wait time and queues, have both the SafeKey, either printed or open on a mobile device, and identification in hand. It is the responsibility of spectators to ensure they have a valid SafeKey downloaded or printed before arrival. Full details can be found at www.gov.bm/safekey or by calling the COVID hotline at [441] 444-2498.”
