Police Service’s Roll of Honour Video Tribute

October 1, 2021

The Bermuda Police Service is celebrating its 142nd anniversary today [Oct 1], with the BPS honouring all fallen police officers, reserve police officers and police staff, including retired colleagues, for their service to Bermuda.

The BPS posted on social media, saying: “Officially established on the 1st October 1879, today we celebrate 142 years of serving our community.

“Traditionally, this day would be celebrated with a week-long calendar of community events, which included the Gymkhana, the Seniors’ Tea and the Police Memorial Service.

“Unfortunately due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have had to cancel these events for the second year in a row.

“However, we would like to take this opportunity to salute the memory of all our fallen police officers, reserve police officers and police staff, including retired colleagues, for their service to Bermuda.

“In Police Week tradition and in lieu of the usual memorial, the most recently departed are listed on this year’s Roll of Honour video tribute.”
