Video: Christopher Scores Twice In Three Minutes
Bermuda’s Nia Christopher scored two goals in three minutes for the Towson University women’s soccer team as they played to a 3-0 victory.
The school’s match report said, “The Towson University women’s soccer team battled with William & Mary all Sunday afternoon, breaking through in the last 13 minutes with three goals to earn a 3-0 victory in the Colonial Athletic Association [CAA] home opener.
“Nia Christopher earned two goals in a span of three minutes to push Towson [6-3-2, 1-1 CAA] ahead in the 78th minute, then adding insurance in the 81st minute. Khori Banks notched a goal in minute 87 to seal the victory against William & Mary [3-6, 1-1 CAA].
“Nia Christopher’s goals in the 78th and 81st minutes give her 11 total on the year, tying her for the CAA lead with Hofstra’s Miri Taylor. She scored on both shots on goal, having three total shots.
“Nia Christopher now stands fourth in Towson single season history with 11 goals. The Towson record is 15 by Emily Banes in 2013. It is also Christopher’s fourth multi-goal game of the season.”
