Video: Nia Christopher Scores In Towson Win
Bermuda’s Nia Christopher scored for her Towson University women’s soccer team as they played to a 2-0 victory over Mount St. Mary’s.
The school’s match report said, “The Towson University women’s soccer team earned its second consecutive shutout in Sunday night’s 2-0 victory vs. Mount St. Mary’s.
“Towson [2-1-1] scored a goal in each half, from Nia Christopher and Danielle Campbell, and held Mount St. Mary’s [0-1-2] to three shots on goal, all in the second half, en route to the victory.
“Nia Christopher scored her first goal of the season in the 35th minute, assisted by Phoebe Canoles, while Danielle Campbell notched her first career goal in the 70th minute off a corner kick, assisted by Jasmine Hamid and Reese Borden. Canoles led all players with seven shots, placing five on net.”
The school noted that the goal was Christopher’s 15th career goal for the school, putting her 10th all-time in program history.
