National Museum Expands Online Gift Shop

The National Museum of Bermuda [NMB] has expanded their online gift shop and will be selling sheep ornaments, jigsaw puzzles of the Hall of History, and reproductions of historic prints and maps, with all sales set to benefit the Museum.

A spokesperson said, “Map enthusiasts will love the colour print of the first ever hydropgraphic survey of Bermuda by Commander Thomas Hurd RN, 1788-1797 [prices start at $150].

“Prints from an album of original watercolour paintings and sketches of Bermuda by Johnson Savage MD, Royal Artillery, between 1833-36 are selling for $75. A jigsaw puzzle featuring the Emancipation Day vignette from NMB’s famous Hall of History is $50.

“And, the Museums’ beloved sheep ornaments and keychains are made by local artisan Lama Handmade Bda are for sale again, all adored with festive holiday hats. Big sheep ornaments are selling for $25 and smaller versions for $15.”

Katie Bennett, NMB Advancement Officer said: “All proceeds from NMB’s holiday shop support your National Museum – directly funding education and outreach initiatives and care of our vast collection of 80,000+ objects and 16-acre property.”
