The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists that the BLDC’s ongoing trench work will continue through to Friday December 31st, 2021. The trench works commenced from Tiger’s Bay pumping station at Penno’s Wharf and are heading west on Mullet Bay Road to Rocky Hill Park in St. George’s. The trench work is now in the westbound lane on Mullet Bay Road and will remain there until it reaches the Rocky Hill Park entrance.

The ongoing lane closure will continue through to Friday December 31st, 2021. Working hours will be from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, weekly from Monday through Saturday. Trench work should reach 200 feet open section lengths at a time.

Motorists, especially construction vehicles, buses and taxis are asked to use caution when passing the open trench since it may at times be near the center yellow line and can be quite deep.

Traffic controls will be under the direction of Island Construction Services Ltd. representatives and will be managed through traffic control signs and signals.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.

Should there be any questions regarding these works, please direct queries to the attention of Stephen Tucker, Project Manager of the BLDC at 501-3010. Wednesday, December 1st, 2021 Through Thursday, December 2nd, 2021

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform the public that there will be a partial road closure taking place on Coot Pond Road for the installation of a speed hump. The speed hump will be located between houses number 12 and number 16. Coot Pond Road will be barricaded off along both sides of the new installed speed hump.

The partial road closures will take place between Wednesday December 1st, 2021 and Thursday December 2nd, 2021.

Motorists coming from Tobacco Bay will not be able to drive beyond house number 12 and motorist coming from the St. Regis Hotel side will not be able to drive beyond house number 16. Pedestrians will be advised to carefully walk over the speed hump.

Hotel employees, hotel visitors, Golf Cart users and taxi drivers will have to use an alternative routes either via Barry Road to gain access to and from hotel and use alternative route via Government Hill Road to gain access to Tobacco Bay Beach.

Traffic controls will be under direction of Ministry of Public Works representatives via barricades and signs.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.

The Town of St. George’s wishes to inform motorists that BLDC’s ongoing trench works will continue through King’s Square and then head north up Clarence Street. Once it reaches Chapel Lane, it will branch off westerly down Chapel Lane to Queen Street substation. Also it will branch off easterly down Clarence Street to reach Government Hill Road. From there it will head northerly to Old Military Road and tie into the Victoria Road currently open hole location.

All residents and business’ visitors are advised not to park on either side of the roadway as the trench work passes through the above named roadways.

The lane closure will be ongoing to Friday December 31, 2021. Working hours will be from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., weekly from Monday through Saturday. Trench work should reach 200 feet open section lengths at a time.

During the oncoming December Holidays, precautions will be made to have all trenching project locations paved and open to the public.

Motorists, especially construction vehicles, buses and taxis are asked to use caution when passing the open trench since it may at times be near the center yellow line and can be quite deep.

Traffic controls will be under the direction of Smith Hauling representatives and will be managed through traffic control signs and signals.
