Sailing: Patton Concludes Competing In ILCA
The 2021 ILCA 7 World Championships came to a conclusion without racing on the final day as the race committee decided that the waves were too large and out of control to carry out successful races, so racing was called for the day, which ended the regatta and maintained the results from the fifth day.
New Zealand’s Thomas Saunders secured his title as world champion, Ireland’s Finn Lynch won silver, and rounding out the podium was Croatia’s two-time Olympic medalist Tonči Stipanović, and Bermuda’s Campbell Patton finished 105th overall in the event, which was held in Spain.
