Basketball: Black Mambas & The Answer Win
A Bermuda Basketball Association’s Island Basketball League double-header took place inside the CedarBridge Academy Gymnasium, with a total of 222 points scored on the night.
In the opener, the Black Mambas defeated the Splash Brothers 56 – 48. Calvert Lee scored a double-double to lead the Black Mambas to victory, he scored 16 points, and he grabbed 11 rebounds, while Jahmair Trott led the team in rebounds with 12. Jonathan Lugo scored 17 points for the Splash Brothers, with Jason Lowe leading the team in rebounds grabbing 7.
In the nightcap, the Answer’s defeated the Franchise 71 – 47. Jahzion Lugo led The Answer in the scoring department and rebounds with 41 points, and 4 rebounds, while Kevin Minors scored 11 points for the Franchise and Dwayne Caines had a game-high 5 rebounds.
