Presidents Cup Road Race Route Announced
The Bermuda Bicycle Association will be hosting their Presidents Cup Road Race on Sunday, December 19th.
The race will cover a distance of 56 miles, the event is neutral from the Start until approximately Black Watch Pass on North Shore Road and racing will commence when indicated by the appointed race official.
The race will start is from 60 Harbour Road, Paget and follows Harbour Road to The Lane, left at the roundabout on to East Broadway, Front Street and Pitts Bay Road, then left on St. John’s Road. Right on North Shore Road to Flatt’s and continue on North Shore Road to Blue Hole Hill. Left on Blue Hole Hill, the Causeway, and Kindley Field Road.
At the Swing Bridge head straight onto St. David’s Road. St. David’s Road to Texas Road, turn right and the right onto Orange Hole Road, left on Pepper Hall Road and straight on to Cooper’s Island Road. Turn right into the car park and make a circuit exiting back onto Cooper’s Island Road. At the roundabout turn left on Southside Road and left at the stop sign.
Continue on Southside Road, crossing Stocks Road and continuing out of Southside at the gate by Double Dip. At the roundabout head west on Kindley Field Road, cross the Causeway and Blue Hole Hill to the roundabout.
Turn left on Wilkinson Avenue and continue along Harrington Sound Road until left on Paynters Road. Turn right on South Road and continue on South Road through the Collectors Hill intersection, through the Trimingham Hill roundabout and through the Paget traffic lights. Stay on South Road to the end at Barnes Corner. Left on Middle Road, crossing Somerset Bridge and on Somerset Road which becomes Mangrove Bay Road, Malabar Road, Cockburn Road and Pender Road into Dockyard.
Make a U-turn in front of the Clocktower [around the bollard] and return on Pender Road, then Cockburn Road to Malabar Road, Mangrove Bay Road, Somerset Road and Middle Road, now heading east.
Stay on Middle Road to a left on Burnt House Hill and then Harbour Road. The Finish is in front of 60 Harbour Road, just west of the intersection with Chapel Road.
