Scott Barnes Drives To Victory In Daytona
Bermuda karting drivers Scott Barnes, Marc Tucker, Brian Bulhoes, and Brian Hall were recently back in action competing in the World Karting Association [WKA] Daytona Kart Week.
The first winner of the World Karting Association Daytona International Speedway KartWeek for Man. Cup Series was Bermuda driver Barnes aboard his Margay Racing LLC Ignite machine in Briggs & Stratton Racing 206 Masters.
It was a clean sweep for Barnes: he won the pole, pre-final, and the final, clocking 14 lap time of 11:18.311.
Bulhoes finished 21st in the CIK 206 #360 day one final, clocking a time of 13:12.770 over 16 laps. In the CIK 206 #375 Day one final, Hall finished 16th by clocking a 15 lap time of 12:54.797.
During the Margay Ignite Junior / Margay Ignite Masters day one final, Barnes finished fourth by clocking a 14 lap time of 11:44.223, while Tucker finished 10th with a 14 lap time of 11:53.252.
In the Margay Ignite Seniors day one final, Bulhoes was 35th with a time of 13:41.772, while Hall crossed the line 39th with a time of 13:53.545.
