December 30, 2021

Due to the ongoing surge in the global Covid-19 pandemic, Air Canada will suspend direct passenger flights between Toronto and Bermuda beginning on January 9.

An Air Canada spokesperson told Bernews, “Air Canada will suspend direct passenger flights between Toronto and Bermuda beginning January 9 due to the current pandemic environment.

“Air Canada continues to evaluate and adjust its route network as required in response to the trajectory of the pandemic, government-imposed travel restrictions and quarantines, and regulatory requirements. Affected customers will be contacted by Air Canada and offered options, including refunds for eligible customers and alternative routings where available.”

Air Canada speaks with forked tongue. They did the same thing in early 2021. It’s about more profitable routes than Covid related. We had a trip planned where the return leg was cancelled. A refund was offered but no alternative routing.

You have to laugh. This starts on January 9th. 10 days from now. How does that make any sense at all?

Why doesn’t Air Canada know about this?
