Swimmers Conclude Winter Championships

The 31st Annual Speedo Winter Championships concluded in Plantation Florida, with a team of swimmers from the Warwick Academy taking part.

Tayla Horan competed in the women’s 17 & over 200 yard freestyle final finishing 9th with a time of 1:59.90, while Marleigh Howes finished 10th in the 13-14 girls 100 yard backstroke final, and Taylor White finished T4th in the women’s 17 & over 100 yard backstroke final touching the wall in a time of 1:00.37.

In the women’s 400 yard freestyle relay the team of Taylor White, Marleigh Howes, Tayla Horan, and Bella Howes finished 8th clocking a time of 3:37.97.

Daria Desmond finished 24th competing in the 15-16 women’s 100 yard breaststroke preliminaries clocking a time of 1:15.45, while Adriana Argent finished 33rd touching the wall in a time of 1:16.57.

During the 13-14 girls 200 yard freestyle preliminaries, Marleigh Howes finished 20th with a time of 2:02.80, Elanna Fulton finished 36th touching the in a time of 2:07.50.

Bella Howes finished 20th with a time of 2:01.58, competing in the 15-16 women’s 200 yard freestyle preliminaries, while Adriana Argent finished 22nd clocking a time of 2:02.58, and Daria Desmond finished 44th clocking 2:13.65.

Tayla Horan and Taylor White finished 11th and 12th in the women’s 17 & over 200 yard freestyle preliminaries, Horan clocked 2:00.84, while White clocked 2:00.96.

During the 13-14 girls 100 yard backstroke preliminaries, Marleigh Howes finished 13th with a time of 1:03.10, while Elanna Fulton finished 15th with a time of 1:03.22.

Taylor White advanced to the women’s 17 & over 100 yard backstroke final after finishing 5th in the preliminaries clocking 1:01.25, Tayla Horan finished 15th touching the wall in a time of 1:04.74.
