Bermuda Athletes Compete In Indoor Track Meets
Bermuda’s Diarra-James Powell-Burgess, Robert Edwards, Mikal Dill, and Stephan Dill were in action for their respective track and field teams.
Diarra-James Powell-Burgess
Diarra-James Powell-Burgess and his Clayton State Men’s Track & Field teammates set two Indoor Program Records and collected one win in the KMS Invitational at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
Beginning with the men’s 4x200m relay, the squad of Roderick Winfrey, Powell-Burgess, Nigel Roulhac and Titus Hand ran to victory and bested the school record by over a second with a time of 1:32.08, the previous record was set in 2020.
Powell-Burgess finished 37th in the men’s 200m dash clocking 23.93.
Robert Edwards
Robert Edwards and his Saint Augustine’s University Men’s Track and Field teammates competed at the JDL Flat Is Fast Invitational Indoor Track & Field Meet at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Competing in the mile, Edwards clocked a time of 4:43.64 finishing 29th.
Mikal Dill & Stephan Dill
Mikal Dill, Stephen Dill and their Johnson C. Smith Men’s Track and Field teammates competed at the JDL Flat is Fast Invitational Indoor Track Meet.
Competing in the men’s long jump, Mikal Dill finished 14th with a top leap of 6.23m.
Stephan Dill clocked a time of 7.09 finishing 20th in the men’s 60m dash.
