CFA Expands Financial Literacy Partnerships
CFA Society Bermuda has expanded its financial literacy partnerships with the addition of board member Robin Masters to the board of The Financial Literacy Network [FLN].
A spokesperson said, “FLN is a collection of global CFA society leaders organized to increase financial education in their local communities. It began as a group of individuals working together on behalf of their local society, to help advocate for the principles and best practices in financial literacy and investor education program design and implementation. The vision of FLN is strong communities where people make informed financial decisions, take control of their financial future, gain financial resiliency, and ultimately achieve financial well-being.
“Robin Masters, CFA, is a founding member of the FLN and a current member of its board. The society leader members that make up the board of the FLN have been selected not only for their insights to help manage and expand the group but also because each has significant experience creating and managing a financial literacy or investor education program.”
“The mission of CFA Society Bermuda’s financial literacy initiative is to provide basic information to enable and empower individuals to take control and make informed decisions regarding money and their finances,” said Ms. Masters.
“I am honoured to be part of the FLN. Their mission is aligned with ours, to provide individuals with basic financial education in order that they may begin to better manage their current lives and their financial future. Having access to this global network will serve to strengthen our ability to give people the tools they need to improve their financial well-being.”
The spokesperson added, “The FLN aims to provide usable and valuable information incorporated into new or existing financial literacy and investor education programs. It believes that the most impactful resources are those oriented around the discovery and sharing of principles and best practices in financial literacy programming and the development of partnerships with like-minded organizations.
