PRC Applications Accepted Under New Provisions

Amendments came into effect on December 1, 2021, and Permanent Resident’s Certificate applications “are now accepted under the new provisions,” the Ministry noted today.

A Government spokesperson said, “The Department of Immigration wishes to remind the public that amendments to the Bermuda Immigration and Protection Act 1956 came into effect on December 1, 2021, and Permanent Resident’s Certificate applications are now accepted under the new provisions.

“The updated application process and form is available online at the Department of Immigration. For questions or more information on the Permanent Resident’s Certificate, please call the Department of Immigration at 246-8093.

“Also, as a reminder, the Department of Immigration’s Airport Office number is 293-2542, and the number for the Anonymous Tip Line is 296-5202.”

    We just need them to process applications as if 2022 not 1972. The up to 2 year delay is entirely unnecessary and weakens our claim to be a global business leader.

    This is so easily sorted too. It feels like there is an agenda.
