Basketball League: Young Goatz & Reapers Win
The Bermuda Basketball Association’s Island Basketball League continued inside the CedarBridge Academy Gymnasium with a double-header that produced 227 points in the two matches.
In the opener, the Young Goatz defeated the Splash Brothers 49 – 45. Te’jour Riley led the Young Goatz to victory with 24 points and 8 rebounds, while Jason Lowe scored 22 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for the Splash Brothers.
The Reapers then defeated the Franchise 87 – 46 in the nightcap. Gershun Kurt led the Reapers with a double-double, he scored 22 points and grabbed 22 rebounds, Mykal Glasgow also had 22 points for the Reapers. Aaron Katigbak led the Franchise in scoring with 12 points, while Kevin Minors led the team in rebounds with 7.
