FA Challenge Cup: Blazers Defeat Rangers
Two FA Challenge Cup matches were scheduled to be played, and while one took place, the other was called off.
Southampton Rangers 1 – Boulevard Blazers 2
Boulevard Blazers advanced to the next round of the FA Challenge Cup following their 2 – 1 win over the Southampton Rangers at the Southampton Oval.
The Boulevard Blazers took the lead in the 30th minute, a good Boulevard Blazers build-up saw a cross headed home at the far post by Ian Coke.
Kieshon Wilson equalized for the Southampton Rangers in the 38th minute, a ball that was not cleared by the Boulevard Blazers defense saw Dion Stovell beat the keeper to the ball, but his effort was blocked, and was Wilson able to take control of the ball and score into an empty net.
Just when it looked as if the game would need extra time, the Boulevard Blazers finding the winner would come in the 89th minute, with Khiry Easton finding the back of the net.
Somerset Trojans vs Hamilton Parish – Match Called Off
The FA Challenge Cup match scheduled for the Somerset Cricket Club was postponed due to a flood light issue.
