Video: BIU President Holds Press Conference
Bermuda Industrial Union [BIU] President Chris Furbert is holding a press conference this afternoon [Feb 7] regarding the Minister of Labour’s comments at his press conference on Thursday [Feb 3] where he spoke about layoffs, vaccinations and more.
On Thursday, Minister of Labour Jason Hayward said he wanted to “address a number of concerns reported to the Ministry of Labour from employees and members of the public about mandatory vaccinations within the workplace and the perceived treatment of Bermudian employees as it pertains to layoffs.”
“The Ministry understands that due to the current economic climate in Bermuda, businesses find it challenging to remain open. However, the Government has made its position clear on work permits, in that they should only be used when Bermudian labour is not available.”

Start with the basics. Drive the buses according to the schedule and pick up the trash when it’s supposed to be picked up. If you can manage that with your overpaid dwindling membership, maybe someone would listen to you. Until then, you can get stuffed.
Save your STUFFED for your ubpOBA next election. I hear they can’t find anymore front men & women to help them look diverse.
Cause the PLP are all about diversity right….
So, you admit that you vote based on skin colour…making you a racist.
Yup, totally agree, the BIU can go you-know-what themselves.
