Govt House Hosts Blue Shield Reception

The Governor held a reception at Government House to celebrate the launch of the Blue Shield Programme in Bermuda, which is a “new UK Government initiative aimed at tackling the challenges of illegal fishing and unlawful marine activities around the UK Overseas Territories.”

Government House posted the photos below online, saying, “Last night the Governor was pleased to host a reception at Government House to celebrate the launch of the Blue Shield Programme in Bermuda and to welcome the team from the Marine Management Organisation who are partnering with the FCDO in developing this programme.

“During her welcome remarks the Governor highlighted the importance of a healthy and sustainable marine environment and pledged the support of Government House to the work which will be taking place during the team’s visit to Bermuda this week and in the future.

“The Blue Shield Programme is a new UK Government initiative aimed at tackling the challenges of illegal fishing and unlawful marine activities around the UK Overseas Territories.     It is good to see politicians from both sides talking and sharing in this celebration.

    So my childs school with their 95% student vax rate and 100% staff vax rate, they can’t take their masks off at their desks to learn but this lot can have a party FFS!!!
