Photos, Video & 360: BNT Hold Plant & Bake Sale
The Bermuda National Trust [BNT] is holding their annual Plant and Bake Sale today [Feb 12] at Waterville in Paget, with the event featuring baked goods, locally grown plants, fresh vegetables, home-made preserves, local honey and more.
Governor Rena Lalgie is working at the tea & coffee table at the event, and the funds raised today will go towards helping the Bermuda National Trust to “fulfill its mission to protect and promote Bermuda’s unique natural and cultural heritage for everyone, forever.”
Karen Border, Executive Director of the BNT, previously said, “Our annual Plant & Bake Sale is one of the most anticipated Bermuda National Trust events and thankfully it has not fallen victim to Covid this year.
“We invite everyone to enjoy a morning by the water’s edge at Waterville browsing a fabulous selection of plants, from bedding annuals to unusual trees and shrubs, native and endemic species, Bermuda roses, succulents, palms and much more. All items are graciously donated by Bermuda’s plant nurseries, private plant growers and landscape companies.
“You can help reduce your own carbon footprint by planting some new specimens in your garden. There will be plant experts on hand to help you select plants suitable for your needs and explain the best conditions for growing them successfully.”
