FA Challenge Cup Quarter Final Results
Devonshire Cougars, Dandy Town Hornets, PHC Zebras, and North Village Rams all walked away with wins in recent FA Challenge Cup quarter final football action.
Somerset Eagles 2 – Devonshire Cougars 5
The Devonshire Cougars have advanced to the semi-finals following their 5 – 2 win over the Somerset Eagles at the White Hill Field.
The Devonshire Cougars held a 4 – 0 lead at the halftime break with two goals from Domico Coddington and single strikes from Che-Kai Caisey and Darren Williams.
Shakir Smith pulled a goal back for the Somerset Eagles in the 52nd minute, but Lejaun Simmons restored the Devonshire Cougars’ four-goal lead with a goal in the 60th minute. Marcus Iris-Simmons scored for the Somerset Eagles in the 90th minute to make the final score 5 – 2.
Dandy Town Hornets 3 – Somerset Trojans 1
The Dandy Town Hornets put their name in the hat for a spot in the final following their 3 – 1 win over the Somerset Trojans at the BAA Field.
Enrique Swan gave the Dandy Town Hornets the lead in the 12th minute. Azendae Furbert doubled the Dandy Town Hornets lead in the 16th minute.
The Somerset Trojans got back into the match in the 52nd minute when Jahkari Furbert scored, but Cecoy Robinson restored the Dandy Town Hornets’ two goal lead and saw them through to the semi-finals.
Robin Hood 1 – PHC Zebras 2
At the BAA Field, the PHC Zebras took the lead in the third minute when Antwan Russell found the back of the net. Keishon Bean doubled the PHC Zebras’ lead in the 23rd minute.
Robin Hood pulled a goal back in the 83rd minute when Chae Brangman found the back of the net, but they could not find the equalizer.
North Village Rams 3 – Boulevard Blazers 0
At Bernard’s Park, the North Village Rams advanced to the semi-final draw following their 3 – 0 win over the Boulevard Blazers.
Rai Simons gave the North Village Rams the lead in the sixth minute; Simons then doubled the lead in the 42nd minute.
The third goal came in the 90th minute when Terryn Fray found the back of the net for the North Village Rams to claim the victory.
