Oliver Betschart Places Second In Texas
Oliver Betschart notched a second place finish at the STPGA Prestige Tour Spring Break Classic at Lakecliff Country Club in Spicewood, Texas.
A spokesperson said, “Oliver competed in the STPGA Prestige Tour Spring Break Classic at Lakecliff Country Club in Spicewood, Texas.
“Over the two day tournament on the 14th and 15th of March, Oliver struggled a bit on the first day, posting an 82, but came back on the second day to post a score of 74, the low score of the tournament in his age group, which pushed him into second place behind Brendan Boone, who shot a consistent 75/75 over the two days.
“The windy 25 mph conditions were challenging and at times difficult on the par 71 6,676 yard course, but the later tee times made for warmer conditions than the previous weeks.
“Last week, Oliver placed third at the Alamo City Shootout at the Basin Golf Club in San Antonio, playing in mid-40 degree temperatures and 20-plus mph conditions.
“All in all a busy week but great results and he continues to stay in the mix.”
