Oliver Betschart Wins In San Antonio, Texas
Oliver Betschart recently shot a 2 under 70 to win a tournament at Riverside Golf Course in Texas.
A spokesperson said, “Oliver Betschart played in a tournament on the STPGA Junior Tour at Riverside Golf Course, San Antonio, Texas where he posted an impressive score of 2 under 70 on the 6237 yard, par 72 course.
“In breezy 15 to 20 MPH winds, Oliver logged three birdies and one bogey to place first in his age group of 13-14 in a field of 15, and first overall for the tournament field of 61.”
Oliver Betschart said, “I felt really good; the weather was warmer and I hit a monster 350 yard drive on the 505 yard par 5, first hole, and just lipped out an eagle putt for birdie.
“I have to mention that it was downwind, but it gave me a good start. It was another great win because it was the first time that I shot under par in a tournament, and I’m happy that I could do it on my mom’s birthday.”
