Two Victories For Bermuda At CGA In Jamaica
Bermuda’s golfers secured two championship victories at the Caribbean Golf Association [CGA] 4-Ball Championship at the Cinnamon Hill Golf Course in Jamaica. The team also won a silver and a bronze medal.
The pairing of Tracy Burgess and Ann Symonds won the Ladies 45+ Division. Their final score of 4-over par gave them an eight-stroke lead over second-place Jamaica. Trinidad & Tobago placed third at 40-over.
In the Men’s 70+ Division, Bermudians Quinton Sherlock Sr and Hav Trott finished first with a 1-under par score. They finished two strokes ahead of the Bahamas, which was 1-over par. Jamaica B placed third at 4-over par.
In the Seniors Division, Mark Ray and Roger Brangman finished second with a score of 1-over par. Barbados placed third at 2-over, while Jamaica won the division at 12-under.
Other Bermudian finishes included Morgan Lightbourne and Sarah Dwyer, who placed third in the Ladies 25+ Division at 33-over par. In the Mid Amateurs, Richard Marriott and Jonathan James finished seventh at 15-over par. Chris Phillips and Geoff Piggott finished seventh in the Super Seniors Division with a score of 22-over par.
