Taxi Owners & Operators Association Hold AGM

The Bermuda Taxi Owners & Operators Association [BTOA] held its Annual AGM on Tuesday [March 29] at St. Paul Christian Education Centre, Paget.

A spokesperson said, “The position of President was retained by Mr. Dennis Furbert after seeing off a spirited challenge by Mr. Ricky Tucker. All remaining Executive positions were voted back in unopposed.

“We would like to thank all those BTOA members, who took the time to vote for fellow owners and drivers, which in turn will strengthen the BTOA Executive, as we strive to move forward with the will of the membership.

“The President Mr. Furbert stated that he was grateful and humbled to be returned to lead the BTOA for the next 2 years. He stated that the industry is under attack and now is the time for Owners and Drivers alike to come together for the good of the Industry and those that will come behind us.
